Let’s face it: “builder’s grade” anything is just not pretty, and this home was well overdue for a facelift. The fifteen-year-old kitchen cabinets (representing the one upgrade by the homeowner when the home was built) were in great shape, so we added molding to extend them to the ceiling, while the cooking area was reconfigured for a hood and stove. A slate backslash added drama and complimented the existing floor. The master bath’s entrance was given a dramatic update with the addition of barn doors, while the bathroom itself was redesigned with the same layout and existing flooring. New cabinets and plumbing fixtures, trim details, and a shower extension created a master bath deserving of this beautiful home.
